At Flannel on the Trail & Flannel on Main, we offer a wide range of workshops, events & classes!
Unleash your creativity and dive into a world of artistic expression with our exciting DIY Craft Workshops at Flannel on the Main. From pottery and painting to handmade jewelry and seasonal décor, our workshops cover a wide array of crafts, ensuring there's something for every artistic soul.
Our skilled instructors bring passion and expertise to each workshop, guiding participants through step-by-step instructions while encouraging individuality and self-expression.
Whether you're a seasoned crafter or picking up a glue gun for the first time, our workshops cater to all skill levels.
All of our workshops will be at our new space - FLANNEL ON MAIN! This amazing space offers our makers, crafters and everyone more room to create!

WORKSHOP
PATRIOTIC BUTTERCREAM BASKET CAKE CLASS
FRIDAY, JULY 3RD
6PM - 8:30PM
Join our experienced cake decorator as she guides you step by step along the way.
Create an 8 inch Vanilla Almond Red, white & Blue cake with your choice of Vanilla Buttercream or Chocolate Buttercream. Participants would learn how to decorate their cake like a basket with buttercream icing.
Assorted Berries, Fresh greens, Patriotic ribbon will be provided to decorate your cake once completed.
A cake box will be provided to take your completed masterpiece home to enjoy or ready to take to your holiday weekend picnic!
Note: Cake will need to be stored in the refrigerator to keep fruit fresh. Cake should be consumed no later than July 5th 2026.
Tickets are not refundable however they may be transferred to another guests.
PLEASE NOTE: Buttercream vanilla or chocolate icing choice must be noted.
Your registration is your ticket. No physical ticket will be required.

AMERICAN MAHJONG CLASS
SUNDAY, JULY 12TH

Beginner American Mahjong Lesson
American Mahjong is an incredible game - it's fun, strategic and great for cognitive and mental health!
This beginner group lesson will introduce you to the basics of the game and provide an opportunity to learn with a qualified instructor. The class runs about 2 1/2 hours and covers all the basics of the game: the tiles, the basic rules, how to read the National Mahjong League Card, the game play/flow and we will complete at least one full game together!
Everything needed to play will be provided for the lesson (mahjong tiles, mats, racks, NMJL cards, etc); no need to bring anything except an open mind and enthusiasm to learn something new!
This registration is your ticket and physical ticket will be available

Christmas in July is coming to Flannel on Main!
Join Hammer & Stain Chambersburg on Wednesday, July 15th at 6 PM at Flannel on Main (38 W Main St, Hancock, MD) for a festive evening of creativity & nostalgia!
Create your very own Vintage Holiday Ceramic just like Grandma had! Choose from a variety of classic holiday designs! Customize your piece with your favorite colors from our wide selection of paints.
Our friendly instructors will guide you through applying a clear glaze so you can take home a beautiful keepsake that same night—a future family heirloom to enjoy for years to come!

Join our Wilton certified, skilled instructor with over 30 years of cake decorating experience!
Instruction includes - Writing, borders, blossom flowers, leaves and vines, basic birthday cake designs such as icing balloons, smiley faces, leaves, how to smooth a cake, how to make booties for a baby shower cake, and how to ice cupcakes like a pro!
Participants will receive 4 cupcakes to decorate and take home, 2 vanilla and 2 chocolate.
Supplies included (participants keep all supplies to take home to make your own masterpiece

CREATE YOUR OWN SPOON RING

Join us for a hands-on jewelry-making experience where you’ll transform vintage silverware into a unique, wearable work of art! In this workshop, you'll learn how to cut, shape, and form your very own spoon ring — no experience necessary.
What to Expect:
• Choose from our curated collection of vintage spoons — or bring your own meaningful piece of silverware!
• Learn how to safely cut and shape your spoon into a one-of-a-kind ring
• Get guided step-by-step instruction in forming, sizing, and polishing your creation
• Take home your handcrafted spoon ring (and some bragging rights!)
All materials and tools provided. We'll have a variety of vintage spoons available for you to choose from, or you're welcome to bring your own special piece of silverware to work with. All cutting, shaping, and polishing tools will be supplied - just bring your creativity (and a little elbow grease)!
Whether you're crafting a special gift or making something just for you, this is a fun, creative way to upcycle and personalize a piece of history.

Save the DATE and join us for an afternoon of fall themed plants!
Doors open at 1 PM.
Plants Each participant will receive a small plant. Everyone will leave with something beautiful!
In addition, all participants will be eligible for fabulous door prizes from Southwood Design and Flannel On the Trail!
Markers will be provided but feel free to bring your own lucky dauber. Even if you don’t get to call "bingo", you’ll still take home a lovely new plant and possibly a door prize!
We are BYOB so feel free to bring your favorite snack and beverage!
